4cupsapples peeledcored and chopped into ½” pieces

Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Prepare an 8 x 8 glass pan by wiping it with olive oil.
In a small bowl mix apple filling and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter, honey, eggs, cinnamon and vanilla. Add sourdough starter. Mix well.
In a medium bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Add to mixture in large mixing bowl and mix well.
Pour ½ of the batter into bottom of the pan. Layer ½ of apple mixture across the batter evenly. Pour remaining batter across the apple mixture ensuring all apples are covered. Layer remaining apples across the top of the batter.
Bake for 50 – 60 minutes. Drizzle with melted honey.
